Positive: This is our second stay at Secret Waters. The condo is beautiful and very clean. Communication, albeit in Spanish, was very easy. The AC worked great, WiFi was good, the electronic lock made it easy - no key to lose. It’s a nice central location. It’s huge, and with a few small accommodations, could be perfect. All in all, we’d return, but know that we need to bring spices, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, wash cloths, and beach towels.
Negative: There was no privacy curtains. The bedrooms have a very sheer panel. No way to block the really bright security lights in the bedroom, or to keep people from looking in at night. We ended up having to close the storm shutters for bedroom privacy. There’s no curtains in the kitchen or living rooms either, but that was tolerable compared to the bedroom. We were given no wash cloths, one kitchen towel, and four bath towels for the whole week. No beach towels were provided. The combo washer/dryer took 2-3 hours to wash a load, so this was disappointing. We really could have used an extra set of towels, and beach towels. Disappointing, as another review mentioned this already. No information was provided in how to use the washer/dryer. We ended up googling it and translating it. I understand the camera at the front door, but there was a camera on the back patio. It’s the second floor with no way to get up there. Being recorded and possibly watched by strangers made me not want to go out there and enjoy the patio and jacuzzi, but that might be just a personal thing. The lady that lives up above the unit confronted us aggressively, demanding to know who our landlord was and if we had the right to park there. I’d read the review, but wow this Karen is next level. It’s not the owner's fault, but definitely doesn’t add to the welcoming feeling.
Summary: Lovely complex, huge clean condo, great AC and WiFi, just bring a few things!
